Jeff Farley

It is FOR and ABOUT authors. Here we shine the light on authors who we’ve read, reviewed and recommend to others. In this edition we are shining our light on another gifted author...

Jeff Farley grew up in Brooklyn, New York. During his sophomore year in high school he befriended future NBA star Mark Jackson and the two would remain friends until this day.

In 1992 when Mark was traded from the NY Knicks to the Los Angeles Clippers he would ask Jeff to leave his job at American Express and join him in Los Angeles to work as his executive assistant and to solicit possible sponsorship deals. By 1993 Jeff would not only be handling Mark Jackson’s day to day business but “Married With Children” star David Faustino as well. Jeff returned to New York in 1995 after Mark was traded to the Indiana Pacers. Upon return he began to handle independent music projects for World Wrestling Entertainment (then WWF), Priority Records, and urban marketing for Tommy Hilfiger which included bringing in talent like Mary J Blige, P.Diddy, Method Man, and Eve for various Tommy Hilfiger events.

In 2001 Jeff would join the management team of Louis Levin Management whose clients included at the time Michael Bolton, Michael Jackson, and later the late Luther Vandross, all of whom Jeff worked with on a daily basis.

Jeff has also been retained by urban apparel brands like Enyce, Johnny Blaze, and Akademiks as a consultant to assist with both brand marketing and licensing, and subsequently put together licensing deals for Source magazine, World Wrestling Entertainment, Marvel Comic Books, and media mogul Master P. Jeff has recently completed his first two novels, “Illegal Ambitions” and “You Get What You Play For,” in addition to writing a feature film based around NBA superstar Kevin Durant entitled “Thunderstruck” which was released by Warner Bros in 2012.
